Assistant Director: Ryan Walter
I am proud to serve as the Assistant Director of LAVA Volleyball and help lead a club that is committed to developing athletes, building confidence, and creating opportunities for players throughout our region.
Entering my ninth year of coaching volleyball, I have had the opportunity to work with athletes at multiple levels of the game. Seven of those nine years have been spent coaching at the American level of club volleyball, where I have helped athletes compete against some of the top competition in the Ohio Valley Region.
Throughout my coaching career, my teams have consistently achieved success on the court. I have led teams to two Top 10 finishes in the Ohio Valley Region rankings and an additional four Top 25 finishes. At the middle school level, I coached three championship teams and guided two undefeated seasons, emphasizing both player development and a winning culture.
In addition to club volleyball, I have coached at the high school level, most recently serving as the Varsity Head Coach at Miller High School and Berne Union High School. These experiences have allowed me to work with athletes through every stage of their volleyball journey, from beginners learning the fundamentals to advanced players pursuing high-level competitive goals.
As Assistant Director, I am dedicated to helping LAVA continue to grow and provide athletes with quality coaching, competitive opportunities, and a positive environment where they can thrive. I believe success is built through hard work, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. My goal is to ensure that every athlete who joins LAVA leaves as a better player, a stronger teammate, and a more confident individual.
What excites me most about LAVA is the opportunity to build something special. We may be a young club, but we are focused on providing a first-class experience for our athletes and families while continually raising the standard of volleyball in our community.
